Dressage Divas do SOHS Proud. - Date posted 02/07/2018
We had a fantastic (although very long and hot) day yesterday at the Area Dressage Competition. First off were the Novices and representing us were Lily Stephens, Zoe Burroughs and Hannah Hickson. The test was a new one this year and proved a tricky one to learn but the team did well with Lily coming 7th in her Arena. Lots of positives to take away from the day and lots of positive points to work on ready for next year. Next were the Intermediates with temperatures hitting 30 degrees. Jess Pope and Millie Simons were first to go both riding lovely tests to put them in the lead in their Arenas at the half way mark. Flo Carter and Katie Pope also rode beautifully scoring well. The marks were very slow to go up so it was all very nail biting but when Jess was confirmed as having come second and no qualification marker against her name we knew the Team had done it! The Team was announced in second place only one mark behind the winners. Very proud DC moment. Last to go was Molly Felix-Andrews flying the flag at Regional level, a first go for Molly who did not stop smiling all day and really enjoyed the experience. Well done to everyone who was there, riders, grooms, drivers and supporters, you really did the branch proud thank you.
