Area eventing report - Date posted 16/07/2014

Another good day for SOH South.

First of thank you to those who volunteered to be our fence judges - Julie and Amelia Halhead and Sara O'Hara to whom we are very grateful and could not compete if they did not do this for us. Secondly, to the scoring team which we provide. Lesley does a lot of work in the preparation of the event and then of course on the day. Many are parents of past members, Stella Nichols, Jan and Brian Potiphar, Pete Hulse, new recruits this year Judy Pope and Laura Bowen and our great pair of score board writers, Isabel Bond and Rebecca Pope. Long day but job well done - thank you.

Congratulations of the Open Tea who have once again qualified for the championships, Anna O'Donald, Emma (4th individually with one of only two at this level double clear) and Chloe Jackson (3rd Individually). Unfortunately, the XC did not go too well for Katy Webb but she is keen to try again next year.

Well done to the intermediate team who were 4th and just missed out on a qualifying place with Hannah Martin on Jane Adderley's Tiny coming 3rd in their section on a score of 28! a very competitive section and both Emily Martin and Francecsa Quesnel had double clears with Annabelle and Juno having a wardrobe malfunction!
Gaby Hill as an individual had a good day coming 6th in her section.
The Novice team put in some good performances with a good dressage score from Nell Hargrove, and confident cross country rounds from Millie Simons and Mollie Coker Harris and Lottie Hughes was 9th in her section.
However, the result of the day was Tsering Lock as an individual who finished on her dressage score of 22.5! but this was only good enough for second place by 0.4 what a shame as she also misses out on qualifying for the championships as only one from each section goes even after she kindly baked a cake for the fence judges!
Once again I am a very proud of you all and delighted to see the splash of pink moving around Milton Keynes.
Finally, thank you Mums a
